Red Fort

In 1638, this fort was built by Mughal emperor Shahjahan. After this, many such changes were made by the Mughals in this fort. Explain that this architect of this fort was designated by 'Ustad Ahmad Lahauri', who also designed the greatness of Agra's Taj Tajmahal.


It took about 10 years to build the fort and it was completed in 1648. The workmanship was used to build the fort. According to the Hindu side, the real name of the Red Fort is 'Lal Kot', which was built by Prithviraj Chauhan


The world's most prized diamond, which is called 'Kohinoor Diamond', used to be a part of the Taj of Shah Jahan. Wearing this crown, Shahjahan used to sit in Deewen-e-Khas. After Shah Jahan, Aurangzeb and Humayun have secured this priceless diamond of their state.


Two gateways of the Red Fort are the Delhi Gate and the Lahore Gate, in which the main entrance is called the Lahore Gate. Apart from this, there are many other tourist attractions in this fort.
