The current global economic environment is not afraid of recession on 'delicate' - Geeta GopinathGita Gopinath, chief economist of the International Monetary Fund, described the global economic environment as "fragile".
Gita Gopinath, chief economist at International Monetary Fund (IMF), termed the global economic climate as "fragile", but does not seem to be trapped in its recession. They say that the growth rate of the economy is going well at this time but it remains a risk of shock. Gopinath said, "The growth of the global economy is going on well, and there is no scope for recession even in the assessment on a minimal basis, but there are many risks which can be dropped down."
The growth rate of the global economy is expected to be stable at three and a half percent after 2020. In this, their share of China and India's growth rates and global income will be a major contributor. Gopinath said this in a blog post before the meeting of IMF and World Bank.
He said that the economic growth rate of emerging markets and developing economies will remain constant at five percent and Asia's growth rate will be faster than other sectors. This kind of trend is seen in low-income countries, especially in countries where goods are more imported.
He cautioned that the stress on business policies could deepen. It can put a major disruption in the global supply chain, with the key role in influencing many other sectors such as the automobile industry.
